UA-11118 Sunfire Orange single-stage urethane paint with EC300 ULTRA H/S Clear. ENDURO PRIME (gray) epoxy primer and PERFECT PRIME (buff) 2K urethane primer surfacer.

What seemed to work best with the ULTRA-GLO was two wet coats, then mix it 50/50 (with clear) for the last coat, then two coats just clear. This car hasn’t been buffed, color sanded or anything since painting - I will one day but it came out soooo well I decided to wait. Its like glass mostly but there is some improfections here and there - I'm its worst critic - but with no paint booth that has to be expected! Oh, and the paint is more than a year old and has over 5,000 miles of road use! Still looks like new.

I have used PPG products in the past - the Kirker products worked at least as well if not better at a third the price!

I buy materials from Smart Shoppers (www.smartshoppersinc.com); they have been so helpful, and know about what they sell.

Whether it’s a period-correct antique restoration, a wild custom with a one-of-a-kind color scheme or even just a plain-Jane paint job on a daily driver done on a budget, you should be proud of your work. If you’ve got photos of a vehicle painted with Kirker materials, and would like to share your work for others to see, please click the following link to begin uploading your photographs and information. If your photos are used in our new Virtual Car Show, Kirker will send you a free t-shirt (while supplies last).
