This is my first car. I bought it in 1987 from the original owner and restored it to factory original during my senior year of high-school. I've been using this as my daily driver on and off ever since. It has slowly evolved into a bit of a street racer, as I built and installed a 406 small block for it a few years ago. The car needed a major facelift by the time the early 2000s rolled around and for some reason I got this idea to paint it Kirker Hot Rod Black. I clearly remember a '69 Road Runner on our block when I was a kid that was painted just like this but was always clean and had nice new wheels and tires. I just always thought that was a no-nonsense all-business look.

The Kirker stuff was super easy to shoot and the set-up cost couldn't possibly be beat. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and the positive comments on the paint choice have been unanimous. Thanks Kirker!
