1932 Chevrolet High-Boy Roadster

Donald Beals (Ashby, MA)
I used a complete "Start to Finish" kit from Smart Shoppers, including Dark Plum Metallic SSU (UA-51380) and Silver Metallic SSU (UA-61231), PERFECT PRIME 2K primer and PRO-FLO Clear (EC100).

This is 1 of 178 all-steel bodies made by Experi-Metal Inc. in the 1980's. It has all Corvette running gear. This took me 7 years, and all stainless steel parts where hand made by me.

This was my first high metallic paint job. At first I had trouble with test panels, but one call to Kirker's tech support and my troubles were gone. On the frame I mixed the clear coat with plum to get a hard finish. The body I clear coated over the paint.

Whether it’s a period-correct antique restoration, a wild custom with a one-of-a-kind color scheme or even just a plain-Jane paint job on a daily driver done on a budget, you should be proud of your work. If you’ve got photos of a vehicle painted with Kirker materials, and would like to share your work for others to see, please click the following link to begin uploading your photographs and information. If your photos are used in our new Virtual Car Show, Kirker will send you a free t-shirt (while supplies last).
