1930 Ford Roadster Pickup

Magoos Street Rods (Masterton, New Zealand)
Paint by Jason Haskin, Roseville, California,
Hot Rod Black (UA-70388) satin-finish urethane topcoat.

This little roadster is the 2008 winner of the coveted Stroker McGurk award (recognizing the best High-Boy Roadster) at the Goodguys West Coast Nationals.

One of the many things that makes this Buick-powered, Brookville-bodied rod special is that it was built by New Zealand-based rod shop Magoos Street Rods, but at their Auburn, California base by Lloyd Wilson and Mike Gialdini, just in time to make a trouble-free maiden voyage to Bonneville, where it push started a 71-year-old Kiwi participant to a new speed record.
